PatraTec, The Bioactive Paper Company
Current pathogen detection methods require sophisticated equipment and sample preparation techniques, take hours or days to carry out and are expensive. PatraTec is commercializing inexpensive paper-based products that will provide the customer with almost instantaneous semi-quantitative results at a substantially reduced cost. Therefore, portable paper strips to rapidly detect bacteria in water will be manufactured.
