Retail in Real Time
A new opportunity was discovered at the intersection of retail business, consumer shopping and emerging digital technologies. This project is the exploration of a new product based service to tap into this opportunity within the rapidly evolving retail landscape. The new service is expected to offer concurrent value to consumers and retailers. Consumers benefit by accessing the products they want in a timely way while accessing a vastly untapped source of savings potential. Retailers realize savings through reductions in transactional costs, tighter inventory control and sales lift. Revolutionizing retail is the goal of this exciting new initiative.

Why MEEi?
MEEI is a very unique and exciting program. I really enjoy the problem based learning approach offered at McMaster. When I was looking for a Masters program I was looking for something that would complement my prior education and work experiences. To my surprise I found very few educational institutions with dedicated programs that focused on the unique needs of new technology venture start-ups. Most other programs were focused on skills development for application in well established large corporations. I found the MEEI a great venue to help technical entrepreneurs take their ideas to market. The opportunity to vet ideas, build relationships, gain mentorship, access funding, network and develop good ideas into viable business propositions were all reasons I wanted to become a part of this program. I found the entire focus around MEEI was practical, immediately applicable with a great support system to help participants in business skills development, mentorship and gaining access to the start-up and venture community.
