Textbook prices have been on the rise and a large share of its cost is attributed to paper, printing, binding and distribution. Our product, known as the Digitizer, is a light-weight all-in-one digital solution which allows the students to purchase e-textbooks thereby eliminating the costs of printed textbooks by 33 to 50 percent, while maintaining the traditional aspects of a printed book on which students can write and highlight. This digital notebook uses a special Electronic Paper Display (EPD) that is easy on the eyes and prevents the reader from eye strains that may be caused by traditional LCD displays.

Academic & Professional Background

Salman Hemani graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Computer Science, specializing in Software Engineering with a minor in Economics for Management Studies. He has worked in the software industry for over 6 years at companies such as Sun Microsystems and currently works at Christie Digital Systems. Along with his many interests his focus is on digital media specifically in the education sector.
