Dr. Rafik Loutfy
Dr. Loutfy is a business executive and entrepreneur, who brings 30 years of expertise in managing technology innovation to the position. As Chair, he is responsible for overseeing the new Engineering Entrepreneurship and Innovation master's program in the School of Engineering Practice, and the Xerox Centre for Engineering Entrepreneurship and Innovation (XCEEi).

Dr. Douglas Barber
Dr. Barber is past Chair and a continuing member of the Board of Governors of McMaster University where he is also Distinguished Professor-in-Residence in the Faculty of Engineering. From 1996 to 2002, he was a member of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and from 2000 to 2003 was the Vice-Chair of the Ontario Science and Innovation Council.
Mr. Walter Booth
Mr. Booth is Chairman and CEO of the Timberland Group, a group of three companies that specialize in winching and hoisting products that are sold around the world. Mr. Booth graduated from McMaster with a bachelor of engineering in mechanical engineering in 1962 and obtained his master's in engineering in 1965.
Mr. Booth generously donated $1 million gift for endowed chair in engineering entrepreneurship and innovation. Booth said this gift is his way of saying thanks to two McMaster professors - former engineering dean Jack Hodgins and Jim Siddall - and honouring their willingness to be academic leaders of innovation. Booth said both men were instrumental in his academic life and pursuit of a meaningful and successful career as an entrepreneur.
Ms. Winn Brown
Mr. Mark Chamberlain
Mr. Chamberlain received the University of Waterloo Engineering Alumni Medal in 1999, was awarded the Ernst & Young 2001 Ontario Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Technology and Communications category, the 2001 National Entrepreneur of the Year Special Citation for Market Leadership, and a Professional Engineers of Ontario Medal for Entrepreneurship in 2004. Mr. Chamberlain was also selected as one of the top 100 Entrepreneurs in Ontario by the Ontario Business Report in 1996.
Mr. Bob Civak
Bob Civak is currently the Managing Director for the Ontario Centres of Excellence, Centre for Materials and Manufacturing. Bob joined OCE in 1991 as Director, Business Development for the Manufacturing Research Corporation (MRCO), a predecessor of what then became Materials and Manufacturing Ontario or MMO. Earlier in his career, Bob worked in business development, sales and marketing and consulting roles for Tricil Environmental and Petro-Canada. He started his career with Gulf Oil Corporation and served in various capacities over a period of 10 years, including planning, sales, and business assessment. In 1989, Bob was part of a start-up consulting practice, IDG Environmental, which in 1990 was named Small Business of the Year by the Mississauga Chamber of Commerce.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University, and his professional affiliations include the Licensing Executive Society (LES) and the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM). In addition, he is a founding Board member of the Ontario Bio Auto Council, an advisory board member of the Ontario Partnership for Innovation and Commercialization (OPIC), a board member for the Advanced Design and Manufacturing Institute (ADMI), an Advisory Council member for the University of Waterloo's Centre for Business Entrepreneurship and Technology and serves on the teaching faculty for the Basic and Intermediate Licensing Course for the Alliance for Commercialization of Canadian Technology (ACCT).
Dr. Milena Head
Dr. Head received her BMath from the University of Waterloo and MBA & Ph.D. from McMaster University. Dr. Head has been a faculty member at McMaster since 1998 and Associate Dean since 2004.
Dr. Andy Hrymak
Dr. Hrymak joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at McMaster University in 1985. Dr. Hrymak served as Professor and Chair in Chemical Engineering. Visiting professor positions include: Xerox Research Centre of Canada, UMIST Materials Science Centre and the Universite Lyon - Claude Bernard.
Dr. Tony Redpath
Tony Redpath is a scientist / entrepreneur with over 30 years experience in the commercialization of early stage technologies. He has specialized in university generated technologies in the environmental and advanced materials sectors.
Mr. Dominic Talalla
After graduating with a B.Eng from McMaster in Mech Mgt '93, Dominic Talalla obtained an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Talalla sits on the Board of Directors of Sciemetric Instruments. In addition, he is an active member of the Canadian Venture Capital Association, particularly the Professional Development Committee.
Mr. Rod Turgeon
Mr. Turgeon is vice-president, Xerox Global Services, Xerox Canada.
Ms. Janet Walden
Ms. Walden has 21 years of experience in the leadership, development, and management of research funding policies and programs, particularly in the area of fostering interactions and partnerships between academic researchers and potential users in industry and government.
