What makes the Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation program
unique is the combination of three key components that allow you
to learn how to successfully develop a technology business without
having a background in Engineering or Science. The three elements
Technology Enterprise Project:
This is the core of the program. You learn a proven methodology for business creation. You work hands-on taking an idea through all the stages of technology development, transfer, and commercialization.
Entrepreneurial & Innovation Skills Development Modules:

The Advanced Graduate Studies Modules are used to extend the candidate's
understanding in his/her chosen field of entrepreneurial endeavour.
The Advanced Graduate Studies are an integral component of the program
and are offered by various departments at McMaster University. The
objective is to acquire leading edge knowledge and apply them to
the Enterprise project. The minimum studies course requirement is
two (2) graduate level courses.
The course selection will be subject to departmental regulations
and subject to the approval of the academic advisor, and Director
of the TEI program.
The Results: Start-Up Expertise and a Master's Degree
Successful completion of the program means having the knowledge and skills that allow you to commercialize a technological or scientific idea into a successful business venture. It may even lead to the successful creation of a business. You will also earn a Master's degree in technology entrepreneurship and innovation (M.T.E.I.):
The M.T.E.I. degree designation is unique and developed specifically
for this program. It indicates that the graduate has attained a master's
entrepreneurship. It is accredited by the Ontario Council on Graduate Studies.

In just 20 months as a full-time participant, or 28 months as a
