General Program
How does the MTEI Program distinguish itself from similar programs?
Through our Master of Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation program, we bring together the experience, opportunity and resources necessary for aspiring entrepreneurs to become business catalysts. Our objectives are: You will work in real-time to develop your business venture in North America’s most innovative master’s program. This program is unique in Canada.
The MTEI program:
- Combines entrepreneurial training and practices in real venture creation
- Uses industry proven new business start-up methodology & disciplined technology commercialization processes.
- Led by a group of industrial & business practitioners
- Leverages partnership with industry, business schools and international Science Enterprise Centre
How many people do you admit each year?
We accept 20 new students each year.
Are MTEI courses offered online or part-time for working individuals?
Most courses are delivered in the twilight hours to enable working professionals to participate on a part-time basis.
At the moment a limited number of lectures are video-conferenced and archived for student use.
Do you accept credits and transfers from other universities?
No. The E&I modules are offered sequentially and students work on their Enterprise Development Project in tandem with the courses. It would not be possible to deviate from our process of linking the curriculum with the project and still offer the high quality of instruction and mentorship which is available to our students if course credit/transfer was permitted.
